Describe any hardware/software/equipment upgrades that are 
planned for your station.

The MarkIIIA will be upgraded to Mark IV in early 1999.
The FS computer will be replaced by a standard FS computer 
in near future (from U.S.) and will communicate with the 
antenna control computer.  A cryogenic, S/X receiver assembled
by station staff at Haystack Observatory is expected in the
near future.  The cables from the receiver to the rack will be
replaced.

demonstrating your station's capabilities to participate in the IVS. If 
you proposed to the IERS in 1995/6 as a radio telescope observatory 
and 
wish to have that proposal carry over to the IVS, please make such a 
statement in this proposal. 

The station first acquired VLBI data in 1994 and has participated
in EVN, APT and CORE observations.  The station staff have worked 
with visiting experts to improve the equipment and observing
procedures.  The station staff are responsible for the maintenance
of most of the VLBI equipment and have had training at other VLBI
facilities.  

Your signature on this form indicates your agreement to participate in 
the IVS as a Network Station, to comply with IVS performance 
standards 
for data quality and operational reliability, and to work closely with 
the IVS Network and Technology Coordinators. If this is a new 
proposal 
(i.e. not carried over from IERS) your signature commits your 
organization to participate in the IVS.
