If you proposed to the IERS in 1995/6 as a radio telescope observatory and wish to have that proposal carry over to the IVS, please make such a statement in this proposal. : The Tsukuba VLBI Station is the main station of the GSI Domestic VLBI Network. The GSI Domestic VLBI Network consists of following Stations. Tsukuba VLBI Station (32m, S/X-Band, Mark IV + K4) Shintotsukawa VLBI Station (3.8m, S/X-Band, K4) Chichijima VLBI Station (10m, S/X-Band, K4) Aira VLBI Station (10m, S/X-Band, K4) Mobile VLBI Station (3.8m, S/X-Band, K4) These Stations can participate in the IVS observation when it will be needed. The Tsukuba VLBI Station and collocated GPS, Gravity, Geomagnetic stations are all settled on the same premises in the Geographical Survey Institute. These are also collocated with Japanese Geodetic Triangular Network and Japanese Leveling Network (i.e. Tokyo Datum). One of the collocated GPS stations is the IGS Station called TSKB. The Tsukuba VLBI Station is collocated with the SLR of the CRL. The GSI Domestic VLBI Network is given the ITRF96 coordinates from IERS. The data observed with K4 system can be analyzed by the facilities of the GSI. The tapes recorded in K4 format can be copied into Mark IV format at Tsukuba VLBI Station by the dubbing machine. We have K4 correlator for three baselines and Solve installed workstations. Our human resources can operate whole VLBI techniques (i.e. planning, scheduling, station operation, correlation and baseline analysis) We are also sending a proposal to you as a correlator. We GSI proposed to the IERS as a radio telescope observatory with the Kashima VLBI Station and wish to have that proposal carry over to the IVS. The role of the Kashima VLBI Station is shifted to the Tsukuba VLBI Station. Your signature on this form indicates your agreement to participate in the IVS as a Network Station, to comply with IVS performance standards for data quality and operational reliability, and to work closely with the IVS Network and Technology Coordinators. If this is a new proposal (i.e. not carried over from IERS) your signature commits your organization to participate in the IVS.
