Describe your primary activities  in VLBI technology development.
For the last decade IAA has been creating the Russian VLBI network
"Quasar". For these reasons we had to develop radiotelescope
dishes and different devices for the VLBI technology in Russia (
time service, receivers, video-converters, etc.)

Describe any planned facility upgrades.
We plan to upgrade the receiving systems concerning increasing
their sensitivity level; the radiotelescope dishes concerning
enlarging of the collecting area and pointing; other systems
concerning providing more of their phase stability of their
parameters.

Number of full-time-equivalent personnel assigned to technology
development center functions:
70 persons.

In September 1995 we proposed the IAA as IERS Technology
Development center.

participate in the IVS as a Technology Development Center and to
work closely with the IVS Technology Coordinator. If this is a new
proposal (i.e. not carried over from IERS) your signature commits
your organization to participate in the IVS.
