6th IVS Analysis Workshop


Objectives
All scientists involved in geodetic and astrometric VLBI data analysis are invited to attend this workshop for an exchange of technical and conceptual ideas related to generating state-of-the-art IVS products.

In particular, the workshop aims at presentations and discussions of

  1. data analysis activities
  2. product dissemination, timeliness and quality control
  3. distribution of and cooperation in software development
  4. ongoing research

Further topics are very welcome. Please send the topics you like to be discussed and or which you like to present to Axel Nothnagel before March 20, 2005. An up-to-date draft of the programme is available at the IVS Analysis Coordinator's page.

  • first session will start on Thursday April 21st, 2005 at 09:00 a.m.
  • last session will end on Friday April 22nd at 13:00 p.m.

17th Working Meeting on European VLBI for Geodesy and Astrometry


Objectives
The purpose of this meeting is to exchange results of the latest geodetic and astrometric VLBI research, information on VLBI stations and discussion of future projects. Colleagues from all over the world working in all fields of geodetic and astrometric VLBI are kindly invited to attend the meeting and present their activities. We encourage contributions to the following topics but also beyond:

  1. station activities
  2. technical developments
  3. local ties
  4. geodetic VLBI analysis and results
  5. astrometric VLBI
  6. combination of VLBI and other space geodetic techniques
  7. future perspectives of VLBI

Submit a Contribution
Please use the submission form to submit a contribution to the 17th European VLBI Meeting. The deadline for submitting a contribution is extended to March 1, 2005. Contribution submission is closed. If you want to submit a late contribution, please contact Gino Tuccari.

General Information


Location
The meetings will take place at Noto Observatory of CNR. A block of rooms has been reserved at Hotel Helios in Noto Marina. The closest airport to Noto is Catania. Transport between the airport and the hotel will be provided at a few fixed times; transport between the hotel and the meeting venue will be provided in the morning and in the evening.

Registration
Please use the registration form to register for both meetings. It is important that you indicate in the appropriate slots when you will arrive at and depart from Catania airport. Registration is closed. For a late registration, please contact Gino Tuccari.

Fees
A registration fee of €70 has to be charged to cover part of the costs of the meetings. To make it as simple as possible, please be prepared to pay in cash on-site. Credit cards or cheques cannot be accepted.
