About IVS

Pilot Projects

Pilot Projects are conducted by IVS with the goal of developing new products. The following pilot projects have been performed by IVS:

• A Pilot Project for troposphere product led successfully to the release of the tropospheric parameters product.
• A Pilot Project for time series of baseline lengths led to the availability of the baseline lengths product.

The following pilot projects are currently being worked on:

• A Pilot Project on station feedback and benchmarking is ongoing under the direction of the Network Representatives Lucia McCallum and Susana Garcia Espada. An outline of the project is described in the IVS pilot project on station feedback and benchmarking charter document. An outcome of the pilot project includes session-based performance reports for IVS stations.
